Booth 186 | South Weber, UT As a dynamic expressionist, my work is driven by emotion, color, contrast, and harmony. I layer traditional oil techniques—fat over lean—with gouache and acrylic undertones on hardboard, linen, and resin surfaces. My current focus lies in expressionism and abstraction, where I explore the energy of color, the balance of composition, and the power of contrast. Using oil, oil sticks, gouache, and acrylic, I aim to evoke excitement through bold gestures and textured layers, channeling emotion into every stroke. 2-D Mixed Media

Her work explores the eternal and fleeting aspects of the landscape, and how our experience shapes them. Using both watercolor and oils, Anna captures the dynamic deserts and jagged peaks of Utah. Her process begins on adventures in wild places. First, memorizing the topography with her physical body--whether hiking, biking, skiing or climbing--and then immortalizing that experience in paint.  Beginning on site (typically sitting in the dirt) Anna captures important details in a small sketchbook before finalizing the final piece at her studio. Using thin layers of medium, she works swiftly to keep the essence of a place, and the initial experience without getting lost in the details. Painting

Painting

Booth 108 | Washington, UT My work is focused primarily on floral subject matter. For the past several years, I have been interpreting flowers from photos I have taken, and am always so pleased when I can create colorful images on my paper. I am drawn to flowers, because of the dynamic changes present in the petals as they overlap one another and define space. Georgia O'Keeffe said "When you take a flower in your hand and really look at it, it's your world for the moment." I want to give that world to someone else... Nobody really sees a flower - really - it is so small - we haven't time - and to see takes time... So I said to myself - I'll paint what I see - what the flower is to me but I'll paint it big and they will be surprised into taking time to look at it." Recently, I have been experimenting with acrylic as well as more opaque variations of watercolor in my work, but I have considered transparent watercolor my primary medium since I began painting. I am interested in the tradition of watercolor most associated with drawing. I have preferred transparent watercolor, because its character allows for a wonderful blending of spontaneity and control.I wanted to focus my training on watercolors only because I feel I can use more imagination from my heart when painting watercolors. My previous work had been more controlled and precise while my more recent compositions have taken on more expression and experimentation. I now find myself re-interpreting a number of artistic statements that have reference to twentieth century art forms more so than the historical or cultural elements of my Chinese homeland and influence. There's something magical about this place, something that keeps me coming back for more, year after year. But there's more to my story than just my photography. I've been blessed with 15 amazing grandchildren, and it's their endearing nickname for me, "Papa Duke," that holds a special place in my heart. From the lush landscapes of Hawaii to the otherworldly beauty of Iceland, the vast wilderness of Canada, and the tropical paradise of Tahiti, my wife and my camera have been my faithful companions. Yet, amidst all these incredible places, it's the familiar beauty of Utah, the mesmerizing landscapes of Yellowstone National Park, and the untamed wilderness of Alaska that truly steal my heart Each photograph I take is a piece of my soul, a reflection of the deep connection I feel to the natural world. Through my work, I hope to share that connection with you, to transport you to the very heart of nature's most incredible moments. Being "Papa Duke" isn't just about photography; it's about passing on a legacy of love and respect for our planet. My hope is that my grandchildren, and all those who encounter my work, will develop a profound appreciation for the beauty of the world around us and a commitment to preserving it for future generations. Booth 69 | Mesa, AZ My journey as an artist is incredibly fulfilling. I coined my description of work "Anthropic Art" - art that intertwines with a person's existence, expressing their individuality as they go through life. I have participated in many Art Shows and my work has been in many galleries throughout the US, featured in several publications and won a few awards along the way. I believe the sense of community that comes with being a traveling artist (both Patron and fellow Artists), is my extended family bound by a shared passion and appreciation for Art. Highlights: *Univeristy of Alaska: Art/Sculpture *University of Alaska: BA Anthropology/Cultural *Fine Art and Craft Shows Throughout the SW and PNW *Arizona Highways Catalog- 2021-23 and 2026 *White House, Washington DC: Raven Ornament selected for the White House Christmas Tree, the ornament is now stored in the National Archives in Washington DC. *QVC Network: Jewelry selected from 200+ artisans/businesses to be sold on OVC live network. Booth 100 & 101 | Smartsville, CA Inspire Woodworks is a family-owned business run by Danny and Tina Garner, where functional art comes to life through masterful woodworking that blends natural beauty with everyday luxury. Drawing inspiration from the organic grain of premium woods, they craft one-of-a-kind pieces--ranging from custom live-edge tables and charcuterie boards to fractal-burned or ocean-themed designs, bar tops, and moss wall art--using innovative techniques that enhance each slab's unique character while turning client visions into reality. With a passion for real craftsmanship over mass production, their work seamlessly matches form and function, delivering stunning, personalized statements that elevate any space. Wood

Booth 159 | Spokane Valley, WA Using exotic and burled woods from around the world, I create landing nets and fly boxes for fly fishing. I inlay most of the nets and fly boxes with semi-precious stones in the natural bark inclusions found in burls. I also inlay many designs of my own of trout, bears, and other wildlife or even a hand-tied fly encased in "amber". Wood

Booth 74 | Sandy, UT My work is a reflection on the equanimity of life. I've learned through wood turning to find great meaning in both the good and bad life brings us and try to reflect this through the cracks and holes present in each of my pieces. I've learned it's the pain alongside the happiness, (or the imperfections alongside the pure grain) that lends life its truest beauty. I'm surprised at how important this work has become to me, and I find more and more that I am eager to share this message and it’s symbolism. Thanks for being part of the journey. Wood
